DEDICATION EVANGELISM MINISTRY NEWS
April was a busy month of meetings, radio production and planning.
SPECIAL MEETINGS
Women’s Group – Dave gave his presentation A Walk Around Jerusalem for the Ladies Fellowship at Chapel on the Hill in Cedar Grove, NJ. The PowerPoint presentation retraces the steps of Christ from Palm Sunday through Easter and the Great Commission. This program is especially moving at Easter, but it is appropriate for any season.
Sunday Service – Dave was in the Willingboro Christian Assembly in Willingboro, NJ for a return Sunday ministry. His message on “Timeless Truths for Fleeting Funds” brought many appreciative comments.
Home Groups – Current events in light of the Bible were presented at two home groups in New Jersey (Chinese Evangelical Church Home Fellowship in Morris Plains and a Jacksonville Chapel Small Group Bible Study in Towaco). Dave spoke on “God’s Best in Changing Times,” a wide-ranging analysis of recent changes both nationally and globally and how Christians should respond. The presentation was recorded at the Towaco meeting and a number of people there requested copies to give to family members and friends. It is available on CD for a suggested donation of $6.
Weekend Meetings – Dave presented It’s Catching!, a unique program of antique and classic fishing lures as illustrations of Bible truths, during weekend meetings at Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Candor, NY and First Summit Baptist Church in Charlotteville, NY (in early May). The presentations were enthusiastically received with several visitors attending. Both weekends also included Sunday services. In Charlotteville, the weekend closed with a prophecy message on “The Marks of Christ or Antichrist?”
RADIO NEWS
As you may know, we celebrated 45 years on the radio on April 12. For our special anniversary program, which aired the weekend of April 19, several station managers and Dr. Frank Wright, president of National Religious Broadcasters, shared their congratulations. We have also received encouraging words of appreciation from listeners (see reverse).
Recent broadcasts have also included a series on the political moves toward nationalization in the U.S. and globalism throughout the world. A CD containing the full series will be available. A few days after the swine flu scare spread across the country and the world, we featured a program on this unpredictable disease and how it might relate to Biblical prophecy.
PROPHECY CONFERENCE
Calling all friends in central New York! Dave will be conducting a one-day prophecy conference at First Baptist Church in Baldwinsville, NY on Saturday, June 6. The conference is being co-sponsored by the Mars Hill Network, which has 19 radio outlets across New York State. Dave will cover “America in Prophecy,” “The Coming Globalization,” “Europe in Prophecy,” “The Palestinian-Israeli Conflict,” “Current Events and the Bible” plus other timely subjects.
The two sessions will be 9:00 AM-12 Noon and 1:00-3:30 PM. A free-will offering will be taken. Reservations are required. For further information or to make reservations, call WMHR at 800-677-1881.

SPECIAL MEETINGS
Prayer Service – As in previous years, Dave was asked by the local organizer to lead the annual National Day of Prayer service at the town hall in Montville, NJ. It had been raining for several days, and rain was predicted for that day, but the clouds broke and the sun came out for the prayer time. About 30 people gathered at the flag pole to pray for our nation and its leaders, state and local officials, educators, and the youth of America.
Men’s Breakfast – Dave spoke for a Saturday morning Men’s Fellowship at First Baptist Church in Metuchen, NJ. He gave a portion of his It’s Catching! presentation of classic and antique fishing lures and shared special stories about New Jersey lures and other notable angling tales as illustrations of the Gospel and fishing for men. Afterward, the group leader said he was amazed at this unique and extensive presentation.
Sunday Services – The CMA Church in Mifflinburg, PA had Dave speak for a special Sunday focused on prophecy. WPGM, our oldest station, heavily advertised the day. The church was full, and many who follow our ministry on the station attended and shared their appreciation for our radio ministry.
Prophecy Conference – A one-day Saturday Prophecy Conference was held at First Baptist Church in Baldwinsville, NY, Dave’s boyhood hometown. The conference was co-sponsored by Mars Hill Network and the church. Dave also spoke in the Sunday morning service and the adult Bible class. Dave covered a number of prophetic topics including America in Prophecy, Antichrist and One World Government, The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and Dating the Rapture. Over 180 people attended the morning and afternoon sessions on Saturday, with a number driving a good distance to attend. Three people received Christ as Savior.
The enthusiastic response to these prophecy messages is a hopeful indicator of increased interest in Bible truth as it pertains to these perplexing days in which we live. Several people have already expressed an interest in holding a similar prophecy conference. Contact us for information on having a conference in your area.
RADIO ADDITION
Mars Hill Network has aired The Word And The World for 40 years. When WMHR station manager Wayne Taylor greeted those in attendance at the prophecy conference, he announced that our program will soon be carried on the network’s 19 outlets across New York State at 8:15 PM on Saturday in addition to 1:15 AM & 1:15 PM on Sunday.
NEW AUDIO RESOURCES
God’s Best in Changing Times was recorded at a home Bible study group. Dave covers many of the recent national and global changes, how they relate to Biblical prophecy and how Christians should respond.
Current Events and Biblical Truth contains four recent radio broadcasts addressing the trends toward nationalization and globalism and the outbreak of swine flu and how they relate to end times and prophecy.
The suggested donation is $6 each.
FINANCIAL PRESSURE
We were saddened to learn that one of our long-time supporting churches has had to cease support after 26 years because of the financial downturn. We hope that the difference can be made up by other concerned groups and individuals. We profoundly thank all those who stand behind us so faithfully. Please remember the ministry during the summer months.

July 26 – Dave will again be speaking “down the shore” in the Boardwalk Pavilion in Ocean Grove, NJ as part of the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association’s summer program. The meeting starts at 4:45 PM.
August 9-14 – Dave will speak each morning and evening at Odosaigh Bible Conference in Machias, NY (south of Buffalo). The conference offers motel, cottage and camping facilities and many activities. (Go to www.odosagih.org for more information.) You are welcome to attend any service even if not staying at the conference.

RADIO PROGRAMMING
Recent broadcasts of “The Word And The World” included two on the miracles of our nation’s birth as the U.S. marked its 233rd birthday. Another two-part series focused on what the Bible says about Israel and an independent Palestinian State and featured excerpts from one of Dave’s presentations at the prophecy conference held in June. The full message is available on CD. We’ll also include a set of the conference handout notes, which contain the presentation outline and numerous Bible references. It is available for a suggested donation of $6.
July 20 marks the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing. In honor of this historic anniversary, “The Word And The World” for the weekend of July 19/20 will feature a special interview from our broadcast archives. In 1976, Dave spoke with James Irwin, who was a member of the Apollo 15 crew and walked on the moon in 1971. Although Irwin is now with the Lord, his interview is a rich insight into space travel from a Christian’s perspective. Be sure to listen on the air, at our website or at Oneplace.com.

LOOKING AHEAD
Fall meetings are being scheduled. With world and national events spinning nearly out of control, prophetic insight is more clearly needed. A single day or brief weekend series is a great way to get up to speed on current events in relation to the prophetic Scriptures. Perhaps your church needs a speaker for a missions conference (Dave already has two scheduled) or a focus on Christian living. Dave can bring messages that challenge and inform.
